Tuesday Day 13

The news came together! The day was sloppy but it was a good sloppy. The show was a little different because I had an Entertainment Reporter this time. Pretty much everything I wanted to accomplish in the show, happened!

It was very good to see a curve ball thrown and just about everyone was ready to catch it!

Trying new things are always fun and it was very exciting to have colleagues that actually want to help see the show produced.

I could tell not everyone appreciates creativity.

I hear your concerns but at the end of the day voices are but a mere vapor!

Its okay to voice your opinion about something but its an other to follow the instructions of whats given. Who really is in control?

I had fun during the newsroom process because Tiana and I brought a Lemon Pound Cake to share that Victor provided!

Don't try to figure it out! lol

Really excited about my furture!!! God is so Good to Me!!! And You!

Tuesday Day 11

Tuesday was very interesting. My professor informed me that history was made. The first show to have a live shot in the sports block. But this show also gave me a lot as well. So my top story had a few issues. I cannot share exactly the problem was  but I will tell you I obtained a headache and I was getting frustrated with a possible Fever. But it all slowly went away as the show began.

The show was successful... News 20 at five is still running this breaking news that no one else in our Market has!

Tuesday Day 10

This Tuesday went well. The only issue is behind the scenes. I was not happy with the flow of the work room today but we always manage to have a good time. The show ran smoothly. There is always a live shot in my show and I want to continue to do more creative things in my show.

Twitter Tuesday trending topic was World Reknown heavy weight champion "Smokin" Joe Frazier...

The sports has great ideas but there needs to be more thinking put in place. It is exciting to see ideas manifest!

I am learning everyday of what it really takes to produce a show. It's not for everyone! I am on a journey to becoming a polished Leader. I can see my improvements from when I first began and where I am possibly going.

Every now and then I confuse myself while putting the show together but it all works out in the end.

I passed Capstone! I am closing a chapter in a book and will open up a new one come December 17th! I plan to be thorough as a producer by then!

I will know the ends and outs of what it takes to be a powerhouse producer when its all said and done! The more you have the greater the responsibility!

Tuesday Day 9

Today was well put together thanks to the team!

It has been an exciting day today. The newscast had two live shots. Tiana Poitier was able to report on Taxi Drivers and the dangers of their driving around.

Then we had a guest appearance by Florida A&M University's very own Journalism Professor Andrew Skerritt. His book came out today 11-1-11, called "Ashamed To Die" and that was an interview!

The technical team did a great job of transitioning the talent and also made sure audio and video was on point.

Ther is always good and bad in every thing we do. today was something to smile about and it will definitely be on my resume tape for graduation.

Tuesday Day 8

Today,

I didn't have to drop any of my stories. It feels a little weird to actually know what my job is. Well at the least there is a second opinion as to what my job as a producer entails.

I understand now that I control the talent and watch the time. I don't focus on the director or what else is going on in the control room.

The show was a success but it was more of a technical issue. I look forward to improving on the next

Tuesday Day 7

The show this week we can say was nice. I was the first producer to have two live shots in my show this semester!

The TUESDAY team worked well! We are Twitter Tuesday so be sure to tweet us every Tuesday @news20at5

In the A Block the top story was about a sex sting operation which was a big story here in Leon County. Also in the A Block a FAMU TV 20 Reporter Tiana Poitier told the story of the Toddler in China who was ran over in the streets and no one assisted. This footage was even worse and the child is brain dead now.

I am learning more and more to appreciate Journalism. Someone has to tell these stories and as a Journalist in the making it is my duty as a Producer to shine light on what people need and want to know.

I pray more viewers tune in because we are a real station that cover live and breaking news!

It excites me to see other students working diligently to get their voice and their story heard. Pitching ideas and creating being innovative in the news setting just reminds me of how important it is to be an individual and be you because everyone esle is taken.

Your skill is yours, and your skill is needed so perfect it.

I am Born to Produce!
